The Place, Shanghai

The Place is a spectacular mixed-used complex comprising three Grade A office towers and a shopping mall in Hongqiao, one of the most connected neighbourhoods in Shanghai located at the gateway to the Yangtze River Delta, known for its world-class retail and restaurants.
Ronan Group’s Forterra Trust acquired and redeveloped the site, which comprised two listed towers and a commercial space. The existing buildings were extensively refurbished to LEED Gold accreditation, and joined by a new 90-metre tower with a gross floor area of 947,225 square feet certified LEED Gold.
Nan Fung, one of the largest privately owned real estate conglomerates in Hong Kong, bought this landmark scheme prior to completion in 2013.
