John Ronan was one of two founding shareholders of Treasury Holdings, a development business which he established with Richard Barrett in 1989. Over John’s career with Treasury Holdings, capital totalling €5 billion was raised. At its peak, the company had a development pipeline of 25 million square feet including Battersea Power Station, Spencer Dock Dublin and the HQ Centre in Shanghai; the gross asset value was €4.8 billion.
In 2011, Treasury Holdings secured planning permission for the largest development in London’s history at Battersea Power Station. The ability to achieve buy-in for this 8.5 million square foot scheme demonstrates perseverance, ambition and skill beyond the capability of most developers and underscores John’s strong relationships with prominent UK decision-makers.
